I'm starting a "Buy Jonathan a Canon 7D"fund, which consists of this:

Yes, it's an envelope, and that's how they did it before there were banks to make interest off your savings. I was going to find a mattress and fill that with money, but you know,
In the end, nothing really mattress.
ha.
Anyway, I'm saving up for a Canon 7D, which is an awesome Digital SLR camera that also shoots HD video. The Canon 5d MkII came out a while back and it's also good, but the 7D is in my price range and is generally getting better reviews and so on...
To christen the "account", I've put all the cash I had in my wallet to get it going, so instead of $1900 I need to save, I only need $1895. W00t.
Donations are also accepted ;-)
I'll be sure to update as I reach milestones, and of course I'll end up posting video in the future!
fulton.

Busy Lately - Photos
So I ment to shoot a video tour of our new house this week, that didn't pan out for a variety of reasons including one 15 dollar cleaning tape but I will get that done in the next week and post it, and you will be amazed.
In the meantime, I've been fooling around with late night photography. I have a class that gets out at 10:15 pm, and on the drive back I've been stopping and shooting some quick photos, and I thought I would share one of the better shots.
I took this shot at 6th avenue near Monaco, at about 10:30 pm.
ISO100, f13, 30 sec:

This one is in Lowry, and it also is a 30 second shot, but I lightroomed it and gave it a little style. You'll see in my flickr account that I like the BW and the frame around...

I also have hit the B52 outside the entrance to the Wings Over The Rockies air museum, but the light there was too bright and the photos look like crap.
Feel free to look at my photostream and tell me which are teh über suck and which aren't...
quite,
Jonathan

So i've been painting all day, but no rest for the weary just a chicken wing and off to the other side of the city for a late night class on how to become up to date with out of date software i'm so glad im paying for a class that teaches me obseletion, though i do appreciate being in class till 1015 at night and having to get up at 630 to get to class on time on the other side of the city to debate the existence of god and whether or not he gives a rip about what we do to each other over the course of our short pathetic lives, lives filled with hatred and sadness and the occaisonal cookie, but nonetheless sad in the great cosmic scheme of things - where does my getting six hours of fitful sleep a night play into the great cosmic scheme of things, why can't my millions of dollars or ownership of exotic islands play into it somehow?
I would like to fit into that scheme.
I would like to fit into that scheme.

A new house, a new blog.
So I thought "What better time than now, in the midst of cardboard, to begin a new hobby?"
Facebook is old, Google Reader is giving me the same stuff day after day, I think it's time for me to create my own content!
So while I'm not sure what exactly I'll be posting on this wonderful bliggityblog, perhaps you can expect some witty insights, a smattering of photography, hell, maybe even an original idea or two.
So enjoy your stay, no one who's listening, and be sure to tip your web browsers.
